Servicing, retaining, and rounding of personal lines accounts. In addition to servicing and maintaining the book of business account managers should be actively soliciting clients looking for exposures and ways to add lines of business. Ideal accounts will have auto, home, umbrella, and life insurance policies. The account Manger should strive to make all accounts look like the "Ideal account" Clients have many reasons to leave or shop their insurance, the account manager should be the reason they stay.
-Process changes to policy
-Handle billing inquires.
-Assist client with and follow up on claims. Keep in mind this is a bad day for client, account manager needs to do everything they can to make it better.
-Actively solicits and processes additional lines of insurance
-Account manager should "touch" each account no less than 5 times per year.
Examples of touches would include policy review, birthday cards, holiday greetings, thank you letters, etc.
-When client moves or acquires additional properties account manager will help identify risks and write appropriate policy for property.
-If premium increases upon renewal account manager will ensure account is still placed with most competitive carrier.
-P&C Licensed in the State of Michigan
-Account Management experience
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
