The Commercial Sales Trainee will learn how to sell commercial insurance products to businesses. Trainees will learn prospecting techniques including networking, cold calling and building referral networks. Trainees will also become subject matter experts in various insurance products such as worker's compensation, general liability and property insurance through hands on training and obtaining a property and casualty license. The ideal candidate may come from the insurance industry in another capacity, possibly a personal lines or life/health agent.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. College degree preferred, minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. 2. Agents license, technical and/or professional designation preferred or the ability to obtain one within the first 30 days of employment. 3. Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications. 4. Excellent communication skills, ability to work with others, organizational skills necessary 5. Possession of a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record and proof of insurance.
